Only on coins of Constantine I and Licinius I is the legend SAPIENTIA, “wisdom,” found. The owl perched on the altar symbolizes wisdom. PRINCIPIS PROVIDENTISSIMI literally means “of the far-sighted Princeps,” again, lauding the wisdom of the emperor.
