ATTICA, Athenian Cleruchs on Delos. Circa 140-90 BC. Æ 10mm (1.69 gm). Head of Artemis, quiver at shoulder / Plemochoe within wreath. Kroll 104; Svoronos pl. 106, 81. Fine, dark brown patina. ($150)

Svoronos attributed many small Æ to the Cleruchs on Delos but excavations at the Agora have disproved most of his attributions. As Kroll states, "One of the exceptions is Artemis/Plemochoe Æ 4 (104), which, although probably minted at Athens, seems to have been consigned for circulation on Delos."
