NORMAN. Henry I. 1100-1135. AR Penny (19mm, 1.36 g, 9h). Quatrefoil with Piles type (BMC vii). Lundene (London) mint; Aelfraed, moneyer. Struck circa 1111. + ҺENRIC REX, crowned facing bust / + ALFVRET : ON : LVN, cross pommée in saltire, with annulet at center; all over quatrefoil. SCBI -; BMC -; North 863; SCBC 1268; Coin Register 2005, 258 (this coin cited). Near EF, toned, small edge test at 7 o’clock. An exceptional piece.
