CRETE, Phaistos. Circa 330-320 BC. AR Stater (11.77 gm). Herakles naked, standing facing, holding club set on ground in right hand, bow in left hand; lion's skin left, laurel branch right, serpent above / Bull standing right in laurel wreath. Svoronos 19, pl. xxiii, 15 (same reverse die); SNG Copenhagen 512 var. (bull left). Toned VF, strike a bit soft. ($750)
