Marcus Aurelius. AD 161-180. Æ Sestertius (35mm, 31.54 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck AD 162. Laureate head right / Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus standing vis-à-vis, clasping right hands, each holding volumen in left. RIC III 826; MIR 18, 30-6/30; Banti 34 var. (break in obv. legend). VF, brown patina, some roughness, a couple of edge splits and hairline flan crack. Broad and heavy medallic flan. Exceptional.
