Three-quarter facing head of Apollo wearing laurel wreath, head turned slightly right / Zeus Labraundos standing right, holding double ax (labrys) and lotus-tipped sceptre; E by feet. BMC Caria pg. 183, 1; Babelon, Les Perses, pl. x, 8. Superb EF, just a trace of light double striking, incredible high relief portrait of Apollo, well centered on a slightly oblong flan that perfectly fits both the obverse and reverse. ($6000)
