NEZAK HUNS. Vilurayukari(?). Period of Sahi Tigin. AR Drachm (3.12 gm). Bust right wearing crown with "boar's head"; legend "Sri Vilurayukari Varu" / Fire altar with attendants; wheel or solar device above each attendant's head. Göbl, "Supplementa Orientalia III", Em. 314, pl. II, 14. Good VF, reverse partially encrusted, spots on obverse. Extremely rare. ($750)
This example is probably the finest know, despite the encrustation. The reverse is nicely struck. An example in Near VF condition sold for $1,200 in Classical Numismatic Group Auction 57 (4 April 2001), lot 702. As a typological note; the head in the crown is very likely a panther or tiger rather than a boar, but is labeled a boar by Göbl.
