Hadrian. AD 117-138. Æ Sestertius (31mm, 26.75 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck circa AD 134-138. Laureate and draped bust right / NILVS, Nilus reclining right, leaning on rock, holding reed and cornucopia; on cornucopia, child climbing; before, hippopotamus standing left; below, crocodile right. RIC II 863 var. (two children on cornucopia). VF for type, black and tan patina, a few deposits, some roughness and light cleaning marks on reverse.
