KINGS of MACEDON. Perseus. 179-168 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 16.95 g 11), Pella or Amphipolis, under the magistrate Zoilos, c. 178-174. Diademed head of Perseus to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΕΡΣΕΩΣ Eagle with spread wings standing right on thunderbolt; above, monogram of ΞΩ; to right, ΜΙ; between legs, Φ. Mamroth 8. A rare variety. Lightly toned and with a fine portrait. Good extremely fine.
