PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Sardes. Time of Darios I to Xerxes I. Circa 505-480 BC. Siglos (Silver, 5.35 g). Persian king, wearing radiate tiara, in running/kneeling stance to right, holding bow in his left hand, spear in his right and with a quiver over his shoulder.
Rev. Oblong incuse. BMC Arabia pl. XXV, 15. Carradice Type IIIb C (pl. XIV, 36). A nice, clear example. Very fine.
