Kallatis. Faustina II. 147-176. Assarion (Bronze, 19mm, 4.39 g 7), c. 165-176. ΦΑΥCΤΕΝΑ CΕΒΑCΤ Diademed and draped bust of Faustina II to right, her hair coiled in a bun at the back. Rev. ΚΑΛΛΑΤΙΑΝΩΝ Kybele seated left on throne, holding phiale in her right hand and resting her left arm on a tympanum. AMNG 297 (but there misdescribed). Rare. With a very attractive dark green patina and a fine portrait. Extremely fine.
