Rev. ΟΥΛΠΙΑC CΕΡΔΙΚΗC Agathodaemon serpent, quadruply coiled to left. Ruzicka, Serdica, 362. A very attractive example, with a fine green patina. Extremely fine.

Agathodaemon was the good spirit who, among other things, protected vineyards. Serdica, modern Sofia, was a particularly important Roman and Byzantine city, famous for its elegance.
