Gytheion, Achaia. Plautilla, wife of Caracalla. 202-205. Assarion (Bronze, 22mm, 3.77 g 7). ΦΟΥΛΒΙΑ ΠΛΑΥΤΙΛΛΑ CΕΒ Draped bust of Plautilla to right, her hair in a bun at the back. Rev. ΓΥΘΕΑΤWΝ Apollo standing left, wearing long chiton and holding plectrum in his right hand and kithara with his left. BCD Peloponnesos 975 (this coin). NCP, N XX var. Extremely rare. An attractive example with a dark patina. Some uncleaned encrustations, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
