ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ Μ ΑΥΡ ΑΝΤWΝΕΙΝΟC CΕΒ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus to right, seen from behind. Rev. ΑΝΤWΝΕΙΑΝWΝ ΑΔΡΙΑΝ ΜΟΨΕΑΤWΝ ΕΤ ΖΠC Elagabalus, in military dress with radiate crown, riding on horseback to left, raising his right hand in greeting. SNG PFPS 943 var. Von Aulock, Mopsos, 70 var. Very rare. With a very dark brown, glossy patina, and an attractive, albeit unrealistic portrait of Elagabalus. Reverse slightly double struck, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
