IONIA, Magnesia ad Maeandrum. Circa 470-450 BC. AR Hemitetartemorion(?) (5mm, 0.09 g, 3h). Bearded male head right, wearing tainia / Barley grain; E-(three bar sigma) flanking; all in dotted square within incuse square. Unpublished, but cf. CNG 73, lot 325 for a similar obol, but with different letters on reverse. Good VF, attractively toned. Exceptional metal and style.
