The Pompeians. Cnaeus Pompeius Magnus (Pompey the Great). Spring 48 BC. AR Denarius (17mm, 3.69 g, 12h). Mint in Greece. Diademed and bearded head of Numa Pompilius right; NVMA on diadem / Prow right. Crawford 446/1; CRI 7; Sydenham 1032; RSC 4 (Pompey the Great). Good VF, toned, slightly granular surfaces, a few trivial marks under tone, die breaks on reverse.
