Philip II. AD 247-249. AR Antoninianus (21mm, 3.81 g, 6h). Antioch mint. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Elephant walking left, guided by mahout, holding goad and wand. RIC IV 246Aa corr. (elephant left, not right); Bland Study 68; RSC 5; Tulln Hoard 1025; Gorny & Mosch 190, lot 537 (same dies). Superb EF, lustrous. Very rare, only 15 examples noted by Bland.
