Struck in the name and types of Henry II, circa 1215-1216. ҺЄNRICVS R ЄX, crowned facing bust, holding scepter / + RAVF ON · LVNDЄ, voided cross, with four pellets in angles. Cf. SCBI 56 (Mass), 1856; North 976/1; SCBC 1355. Good VF, toned. A very interesting portrait, featuring an ‘inquisitively raised’ eyebrow.
