DIOCLETIAN. 284-305 AD. Æ Denarius (2.91 gm). Struck 285-286 AD. Lugdunum mint. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / Mars walking right, holding spear and trophy. RIC V pt. 2, 113; Bastien 5 (same dies). EF, legend partially weak. Extremely rare - only one specimen cited by Bastien! ($1500)
Interestingly, this coin shares its reverse die with an aureus in the ANS, a point possibly unnoticed by Bastien (see Bastien pl. I, 1e and 5).
