New Kingdom. Circa 1550-1075 BC. Hardstone scaraboid (15x11mm). Back carved in the shape of a human head, base engraved with an ankh (for “life”). Cf. Matouk II, 1728ff for human-headed scaraboids. Intact with a pleasing hue, pierced for mounting. Rare.
