Laureate and cuirassed bust right; gorgoneion on breastplate; c/m: wreath / Caracalla on horseback right, head and upper body left, raising right hand in salute, left hand holding reins; to left, soldier marching right, raising right hand in salute; to right, statue of Asclepius facing, holding serpent-entwined staff, set on cippus. Von Fritze, Pergamon p. 73 and pl. VII, 14; SNG France 2231 (same dies); for c/m: Howgego 480. Fine, dark greenish-brown patina, tooled, smoothing in fields.
