MOESIA INFERIOR, Marcianopolis. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ (32mm, 21.26 g, 12h). Tertullianus, legatus consularis. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust left, right hand raised, holding globe in left hand / Tyche standing right, cornucopia over shoulder, clasping hands with Gordian standing left; flaming altar between them. H&J, Marcianopolis 6.36.42.1 (R9); BMC 80; SNG Copenhagen –; Varbanov 1935 (R8 – same obverse die as illustration). VF, dark gray patina, light surfaces roughness. Very rare.
