Commodus. AD 177-192. Æ Medallion (37mm, 51.24 g, 1h). Rome mint. Struck AD 184-185. Laureate and draped bust right / Commodus, togate, sacrificing from patera over altar to left; to left,
victimarius preparing to sacrifice bull, citizen,
tibicen playing tibia, and child; citizen to right, behind Commodus; hexastyle temple in background. Gnecchi 168 (same dies as illustration); Banti 504 (same dies as illustration). Near VF, brown surfaces, a little rough, edges slightly smoothed (probably mounted in antiquity). Rare.
