CILICIA, Irenopolis-Neronias. Domitian. As Caesar, AD 69-81. Æ (16mm, 2.77 g, 1h). Dated CY 42 (AD 93/4). Laureate head of Domitian right / Laureate head of Asclepius right; star behind, BM (date) before. Karbach –; RPC II 1767 var. (no star on rev.). Good VF, green patina. Extremely rare.

RPC cited only one example (= CNG 79, lot 628) for this type in the 1999 publication, with one additional example published in the second supplement. The current variety, with the star on reverse, appears to be unique.
