Artemis Parthenos advancing left, preparing to strike with raised right hand a stag recumbent left, looking upward at her; XEP below; c/m to upper left: dolphin left in pelleted circle within incuse circle / Bull butting left on club left; in exergue, ΘEO[XAPE] above bow and quiver left. Anokhin 704 (cf. 702 for c/m); Anokhin, Khersonesa 81; SNG BM Black Sea – (cf. 768 for c/m); SNG Pushkin – (cf. 658 for c/m); SNG Stancomb – (cf. 478 for c/m); Sutzu II – (cf. 26 for c/m). Fine, brown surfaces, porous. Extremely rare issue by Thochares, approximately only 10 examples known, 8 of which are in museums.
