LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. AR Nomos (20mm, 7.92 g, 2h). Head of Demeter facing slightly right, wearing grain ear wreath, triple-pendant earrings, and necklace / Barley ear of seven grains, leaf to right; bucranium above leaf, AΘ[A] below. Johnston Class C, 2.6 (same dies); HN Italy 1584; SNG ANS 463-4 (same obv. die); SNG Lloyd –; SNG Copenhagen 1220 (same obv. die). Good VF, darkly toned with slight iridescence around the devices. Fine style.
