IMP C P LIC GALLIENVS AV, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / COL TV R O METR, Dido standing right before lighted altar, raising both hands to distyle temple above, seen in perspective and containing club of Melqart-Herciules; murex to right. Rouvier 2536; BMC 490; AUB 304 var. (rev. legend). VF, attractive dark-green patina with hard earthen overtones, traces of adjustment marks and double strike on reverse. Exceptional for this late provincial issue.
