The Triumvirs. Octavian. Autumn 32-summer 31 BC. AR Denarius (21mm, 3.82 g, 12h). Italian (Rome?) mint. Head of Venus right, wearing stephane, hair is looped at back and two ringlets fall down behind and over neck; she wears earring and necklace / Octavian, in military attire and with cloak billowing out behind, hurrying left, extending right hand and cradling spear in left arm; CAESAR DIVI • F across field. RIC I 251; CRI 397; RSC 70; BMCRE 609-10 = BMCRR Rome 4327-8; BN 1-4. Good VF, attractively toned, banker’s mark in obverse field.
