The Triumvirs. Octavian. Autumn 31-summer 30 BC. AR Denarius (21mm, 3.75 g, 3h). Italian (Rome?) mint. Winged bust of Victory right, wearing hair rolled from brow to back of head and knotted there and fastened with a jeweled ornament / Octavian, as Neptune, standing left, naked but for cloak hanging from shoulders behind, his right foot set on globe, holding apluster in right hand and resting on scepter held in left; CAESAR DIVI F across field. RIC I 256; CRI 409; RSC 60; BMCRE 615 = BMCRR Rome 4341; BN 12-17. Good VF, lightly toned, traces of small die breaks on reverse. Well centered example.
