IMP CΛES DOMIT ΛVG GERM P M TR P XVI, laureate bust right; trace of aegis at point of bust / IMP XXII COS XVII CENS P P P, Minerva (as Victory) alighting left, holding spear in right hand and round shield over left arm. RIC II 821; cf. RSC 294a; cf. BMCRE 237D and p. 344 note; BN -. VF, iridescent tone. Extremely rare.

This coin is from the very rare last issue of Domitian's coinage, signified by his tribunician year 16, which he held for only 4-5 days (September 13/4-18, AD 96) before his assassination.
