Struck circa 1195-circa 1205. + WILЄLmVS RX, crowned head left; scepter before / + ҺVЄ OИ ЄDЄИBVR, voided cross pattée, with star in each angle (4 stars of 6 points). Burns 40D (fig. 1h [same dies as illustration]); SCBI 35 (Ashmolean & Hunterian), 48 (same dies); SCBC 5027. Good VF, toned. Includes an elegant old collector’s ticket.
