THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 370-360 BC. AR Drachm (20mm, 6.04 g, 5h). Head of the nymph Larissa left, wearing pendant earring, her hair raised and bound at the top of her head; [ΛAPIΣA?] before / ΛAP-I-ΣA-I-ΩN around, bridled horse prancing right. Lorber, Thessalian pl. 45, 100 (this coin); BCD Thessaly II - (but cf. 183-4 for similar); BCD Thessaly I - (but cf. 1133 for similar). Good VF, lightly toned, obverse slightly off center, faint doubling on reverse. Good metal. From fine style dies with an obverse influenced by the Arethusa heads of Euainetos’ from Syracuse.
