SICILY, Syracuse. Hieron I. 478-466 BC. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 17.08 g, 11h). Struck circa 478-475 BC. Charioteer driving quadriga right; above, Nike flying right, crowning horses / Diademed head of Arethusa right; four dolphins around. Boehringer series VIIIa, 112 (V51/R77); SNG ANS –; Randazzo 267–8 (same dies); SNG München 935 (same dies). Good VF, toned, scattered tiny deposits, minor delaminations under tone on obverse, a few small pits on reverse.
