SICILY, Syracuse. Second Democracy. 466-405 BC. AR Tetradrachm (29mm, 16.24 g, 9h). Struck circa 413-405 BC. Charioteer driving fast quadriga left; above, Nike flying right, crowning charioteer; [in exergue, two dolphins confronted] / Head of Arethusa right, hair in crossed bands; four dolphins around. Tudeer 13 (V6/R9); SNG ANS 254 (same dies); BMC 143 (same rev. die). Near VF, toned, numerous cleaning scratches under tone, die break on obverse.
