Laureate and cuirassed bust left, holding spear over right shoulder, shield on left arm / PROVIDE NT IAE AVGG, female standing right on prow, holding cornucopia, being received by Tyche of Arles standing left, holding vexillum; QARL. RIC VII 30 (r5). Good Fine, brown patina, light porosity. Very rare.


This type commemorates the transfer of the mint of Ostia to Arles, probably in AD 313.
