ISLAMIC, Arab-Sassanian coinage. Yazdigerd type with bism allāh. AR Drachm (33mm, 4.14 g, 3h). SK (Sīstān/Sijistān) mint. Dated AH 48 (AD 679/80). Yazdigerd types were struck at the SK mint from circa AH 31-45, all dated YE 20. In AH 48, that mint issued drachms in the Khusrou type. The present coin appears to be a mule connecting the Yazdigerd and Khosrou issues, thereby implying that the first series was produced up to AH 48.
