KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’. 336-323 BC. Stater (Gold, 18mm, 8.51 g 1), uncertain mint in the East, c. 320-310 BC. Head of Athena to right, wearing triple-crested Corinthian helmet adorned with serpent on the bowl.

Apparently unpublished. With a large head of Athena, struck on an unusually broad flan. Obverse slightly weakly struck and with some minor die rust,
otherwise, good extremely fine.
