SAMARIA. Circa 375-333 BC. AR Hemiobol (7mm, 0.38 g, 12h). Galley left; star between horizontal lines above, waves below / Persian king, holding spear and bow, in kneeling/running stance right. Meshorer & Qedar 97; HGC 10, 426. VF, toned, porous.
On this example, it appears that the die engraver was unfamiliar with Aramaic script, and thus the letters above the galley are nothing more than horizontal lines flanking a star.
