LYCIA, Phellus. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ (30mm, 17.31 g, 6h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Demeter standing left on low basis, holding poppy. Cf. von Aulock, Münzprägung 281 = SNG von Aulock 4445 (same obv. die, different reverse type); SNG Copenhagen –; BMC –. VF, dusty green patina, small pit on obverse. Very rare.
