Commodus. AD 177-192. Æ Sestertius (29mm, 21.11 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck under Marcus Aurelius, AD 178. Laureate head right / Libertas standing left, holding pileus and vindicta. RIC III 1588 (Aurelius); MIR 18, 427-16/30; Banti 195 (this coin illustrated). Good VF, brown and red-brown patina. Wonderful portrait.
