M COMMODVS AN TON AVG PIVS BRIT, laureate head right / P M • TR P VIIII • IMP VII COS IIII • P • P, VICT • BRIT in exergue, Victory seated right on rock, cradling palm frond in right arm, and placing left hand on shield set on knee; two shields on ground behind; S C across field. RIC III 440; MIR 18, 653-6/30; Banti 486; SCBC 648. EF, attractive olive green patina, a pair of tiny pits at tip of neck. Choice surfaces. Rare in this condition.
