TROAS, Abydos. Circa 300-250 BC. Æ 23mm (8.15 gm). Small dies. Turreted head of Artemis right, bow and quiver under chin / Eagle standing right on thunderbolt, head turned left; grain ear before. Overstruck as always on a larger Abydos Æ. Three quarter facing head of Artemis wearing stephanos / Eagle standing right with open wings; aplustre before. SNG Copenhagen 40; SNG von Aulock -; BMC Troas pg. 4, 39. Nice VF, glossy dark brown patina. Well centered. ($200)
