2nd Intermediate Period. Circa 1650-1550 BC. Steatite scarab (18x13mm). Back carved into a criss-cross pattern, suggestive of a hedgehog. Base engraved with spirals surrounding a protection sign. Intact, once glazed, pierced for mounting.
