2nd Intermediate Period. Circa 1650-1550 BC. Steatite scarab (20x14mm). Back finely decorated with two lotus flowers. Base engraved with various symmetric signs disposed in typical Hyksos design. General protection meaning. Intact, once glazed, pierced for mounting. A nice specimen.
