2nd Intermediate Period. Circa 1650-1550 BC. Steatite scarab (19x13mm). Base engraved with ankh (“life”) within a cartouche flanked by symmetric sedges (“king”), a scarab flanked by ankhs and a neb basket. Intact, once glazed, pierced for mounting.
