2nd Intermediate Period. Circa 1650-1550 BC. Steatite scarab (16x11mm). Back is carved into a criss-cross pattern, suggestive of a hedgehog. Base engraved with power and good luck signs. Thin crack down back and side, once glazed, pierced for mounting.
