New Kingdom. Circa 1550-1075 BC. Steatite scarab (17x13mm). Back carved with a smaller scarab on top of a larger one. Base engraved with signs for kheper-re within linear rope frame. For a similar back, cf. NFA 205-7; Matouk 1265-7. Intact but a bit worn, once glazed, pierced for mounting.
