New Kingdom. Circa 1550-1075 BC. Steatite scarab (21x16mm). Base engraved with the Pharaoh kneeling in adoration before an obelisk; on the left, signs that could be arranged into the name of Tuthmosis II. Intact, once glazed, pierced for mounting.
