UNCERTAIN EAST. Early-mid 3rd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 16.78 g, 11h). Imitating Alexander III of Macedon. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; no control marks. Cf. Price B24 (similar obv. style); Lanz –; CCCBM I –; cf. KMW 1449–50. Near VF, toned.

The style of this piece appears to imitate late 4th century issues of Tarsos and Levantine mints, although its weight implies a date in the first half of the third century BC. The slightly scyphate reverse also suggests that this is an issue from the East, perhaps in eastern Asia Minor or Syria.
