CILICIA, Tarsus. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ (33mm, 18.73 g, 6h). Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, holding spear and shield decorated with gorgoneion / Lion attacking bull left. SNG France –; SNG Levante –; SNG Pfälzer –; SNG von Aulock –; Ziegler –. Near Fine, brown patina with some black on the reverse. Possibly unpublished with the reverse type to left.
